On November 6, the Gordon River Greenway was opened to the public. The greenway forms a connection to central Naples. The two-mile system consists of streams, bridges, boardwalks and winding trails. Approximately 30 years of dreaming and planning went into the construction. The Greenway was developed in sections. The first section was opened in 1992.
